Akelee is a visionary artist, a masterful songwriter, and an unstoppable creative force destined to stand among the greats. With a voice and artistry that captivate hearts, she has already made waves in the TV commercial and music synchronization world, with her work featured in iconic national campaigns for Netflix, Dunkin’ Donuts, Norwegian Cruises, Old Navy, Pepsi, and more. Her music doesn’t just play—it echoes in arenas worldwide, stirring souls and inspiring dreams.

 

Born in Cleveland, Ohio, and raised in Los Angeles, Akelee found her voice as a child, singing alongside her mother to legends like Aretha Franklin and Whitney Houston. Her teenage years were filled with growth as she joined local girl groups, fine-tuning her craft and developing her unique artistry. At 17, Akelee earned national recognition on American Idol, where she was affectionately dubbed “Little Whitney Houston.”

 

Akelee’s career blossomed as she collaborated with industry icons, writing for celebrated artists like Faith Evans and Musiq Soulchild. Her Billboard-topping placement on KB’s Weight & Glory and a residency at Hollywood’s iconic Roxy Theatre are among her notable accomplishments.
